Who we are
Bristol Windows & Doors is a window and door repair, glass replacement, and installation business operating in Bristol and the surrounding area. Our website address is bristolwindowsdoors.co.uk.
For data protection purposes, we are the data controller for any personal data we collect. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us:

What data we collect and why
Enquiry forms
When you fill in a contact form or enquiry form on our website, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your postcode
- Details of the work you need
Why: To respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit or quote, and carry out any work you commission us to do. This is necessary for the performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract).
Photos
If you attach photos to your enquiry, they are uploaded to Cloudinary (a cloud-based image hosting service) and linked to your enquiry record. We use these photos to help diagnose your issue and provide an accurate quote.
Phone calls
If you call us, we may take a note of your name, contact details, and the nature of your enquiry. We do not record calls.
How we store your data
Enquiry data submitted through our website is stored in Airtable (a cloud-based database). Airtable is a US-based service that is GDPR-compliant and processes data under standard contractual clauses.
We retain enquiry data for as long as it is necessary for business purposes — typically up to 3 years for completed jobs, in case of any warranty queries.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We may share data with:
- Airtable — our database provider, for storing enquiry records
- Resend — our email service provider, for sending confirmation emails
- Cloudinary — our image hosting provider, for storing photos you attach to enquiries
- Netlify — our website hosting provider, who processes web requests and may store server logs
All services operate under data processing agreements and are GDPR-compliant.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, time on site, and device type. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data.
When you first visit our site, you'll see a cookie consent banner. Analytics cookies are only loaded if you click "Accept". If you click "Decline", no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google Analytics. Your choice is saved in your browser so you won't be asked again.
The data collected by Google Analytics is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify individual visitors from it.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct any inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (subject to any legal obligations to retain it)
- Restriction — ask us to restrict how we process your data
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Objection — object to us processing your data on the basis of legitimate interests
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@bristolwindowsdoors.co.uk.
