We believe in being upfront about cost. The prices below are the real starting and set prices for our most common repairs across Bristol — all plus VAT. Many jobs come in at exactly these prices; others vary with size, parts and access, so we confirm the final figure before any work begins. What can affect the price

The starting prices above cover the great majority of jobs. A few things can change the final figure, which is why we always confirm it first:

• Size and specification — larger glass units, or specialist glass like toughened, obscure or acoustic, cost more than a standard pane.
• Parts — some locks, hinges and handles are non-standard and have to be matched to the exact part.
• Access — upper floors or awkward access can affect the time a job takes.
• How many in one visit — doing several windows or doors together is cheaper per item, which is why "additional same visit" prices are lower.

Whatever the job, the price is agreed before we order anything or start any work.

  They're honest starting prices and set prices for common repairs, all plus VAT. Many jobs are exactly these prices; others depend on the size, the parts and access, so we confirm the final price before any work starts — there are no hidden charges.

• Do your prices include VAT?

  No — the prices shown are plus VAT, in line with how we quote. We'll always make the VAT clear on your quote so you know the full figure before you decide.

• Can you give me a price from photos?

  Often, yes. For many repairs and glass jobs we can give you a guide price from a few clear photos and rough sizes. For things like noise or overheating, or anything where the frame may be involved, we may suggest a quick look first. See what photos to send for a quote.

• Is a repair really cheaper than replacing?

  Usually, yes — where the frame and door or window are sound. For example, replacing a misted sealed unit starts from £165 + VAT against roughly £600 + VAT for a whole new window. We'll always tell you honestly when a repair is the sensible route and when replacement makes more sense.
