Where we draw the line: if your doors have dropped or aren't sitting square, that's an adjustment we can make. But worn rollers, a damaged track or the internal running gear itself is a specialist job — we'll be straight with you about which it is and point you in the right direction rather than start a job that isn't ours to do.

Bifold door glass replacement

Misted, cracked, or broken glass in a bifold panel can usually be replaced while keeping the existing door system — you don't need a whole new set of doors for a glass fault.

• Misted bifold glass — a failed sealed unit (condensation between the panes) replaced like-for-like
• Cracked or broken glass — impact-damaged panels made safe and replaced
• Toughened sealed units — bifold glass is toughened safety glass, fitted as standard
• Large, heavy units — bifold panels are big and heavy, so handling, survey and lead time matter
• Matching the existing specification — we match the glass spec to the rest of the doors where possible

What does it cost?

Bifold adjustment and realignment has set prices. A single leaf — usually the master (traffic) door that's dropped or catching — opened up and readjusted properly is £165 + VAT. A full realignment, where every leaf needs resetting, is £275 + VAT.

• My bifolds won't close or fold properly — can you fix that?

  Sometimes the doors have simply dropped or come out of alignment, and that's something we can adjust and put right. If it's worn rollers, a damaged track or the internal running gear, that's a specialist job and we'll point you to the right person. We also replace bifold locks, handles and glass. • Can you replace broken or misted glass in a bifold door?

  Yes. Bifold glass is toughened safety glass and the units are large and heavy, so we check the size and specification first and usually recommend a quick survey before ordering the made-to-measure unit. The door system stays; only the glass changes.
