Meet Matthew
Matthew has been fitting and repairing windows and doors for 20 years. Bristol Windows & Doors is a small team — no call centres, no salespeople, no subcontractors.
We started trading as Bristol Windows & Doors 4 years ago, but the experience behind it goes back two decades. Our customers tend to find us through Google, get a fair price, and then recommend us to friends and neighbours. That word-of-mouth reputation matters — every job counts, regardless of size.

Our Accreditation
We are accredited with the Assure Register — a government-approved competent persons scheme for window and door installers.
Being Assure Register accredited means:
- Our installations comply with current building regulations
- We self-certify compliance — no separate building control application needed
- Installations are independently certified to meet building regulations
- You receive an Assure Register certificate for every installation — important when selling your home
Our Insurance
We carry public liability insurance (£5 million cover) and employers' liability insurance. If anything unexpected were to happen during our work on your property, you're protected.
What We Do
We cover domestic window and door repairs, glass replacement, and installations:
- Window repairs — hinges, handles, locks
- Door repairs — realignment, hinges, handles, locks
- Glass replacement — misted, cracked, or broken double-glazed units
- uPVC window installations
- uPVC and composite door installations, and aluminium bifold doors
- French doors, patio doors

We cover most Bristol postcodes, plus Kingswood, Hanham, Portishead, Nailsea, Yatton, Bradley Stoke and Yate as standard. Somewhere not on that list? Send us your postcode and we'll confirm either way.
Our Warranty
New windows and doors come with a 10-year manufacturer warranty on the glass and frame, sorted through us. Moving parts (locks, hinges and handles) have a 1-year warranty, and you get an Assure certificate for every install. Repair work is covered by a 1-year guarantee on the specific part fitted and the specific issue addressed. We'll talk you through what's covered when we complete your job.

Photo quotes are free, and so are visits to quote bigger jobs or measure up. The only visit we charge for is coming out to find what's wrong with a repair: £95 + VAT (£114 inc VAT), taken off the job if you go ahead with the work within 30 days.
